Officers climbed 80 floors to support Ann and Robert Lurie’s Children’s Foundation Chicago – Illinois State Police officers and their families participated in the 16th Annual Aon Step Up For Kids event on Sunday, January 27, 2013. The participants climbed 80 floors/1,643 steps at the AON building to help support the Lurie’s Children’s Foundation mission to raise funds for K.I.D.S.S.for Kids. K.I.D.S.S.for Kids is a longtime supporter of the Family Services Department which provides patients with specialized support from Child life specialist, art therapists, social workers, clergy, and educational volunteers. The goal of Lurie’s Children’s Foundations and KIDSS for Kids is to raise $665,000 for the comfort of recipient children and their families.
