Law Enforcement Officials Brief Senator Durbin on Gun Violence in Illinois Chicago – Illinois State Police (ISP) Director Hiram Grau attended a Law Enforcement Listening Session led by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin in Chicago on Thursday, January 10. The meeting, which took place at the Metcalfe Federal Building in downtown Chicago, gave Illinois law enforcement leaders an opportunity to brief Senator Durbin on the gun violence issues plaguing their jurisdictions. Information gathered during this and subsequent similar meetings will be taken into consideration during upcoming gun violence hearings held by the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, of which Senator Durbin is a member.
