FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Master Sergeant James Morrisey Zone 6 1100 Eastport Plaza Collinsville, Illinois 62234 618-346-3781 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: COLLINSVILLE, IL (July 14, 2005) – Thursday, July 14, 2005, Illinois State Police Zone 6 Investigations, is investigating the murder of Charles Biggs, age 51, of St. Louis, Missouri. At 4:20 a.m., this morning, July 14, 2005, Biggs was found shot along the side of Illinois Route 3 near Adams Street in Brooklyn, Illinois. Biggs was last seen when he left his mothers residence in North St. Louis at approximately 11:30 p.m. last night. Anyone with information concerning the murder of Biggs is asked to call Illinois State Police Special Agent Dave Wasmuth at 618/346-3670. The public is reminded that criminal defendants are presumed innocent until the government is able to prove its charges in court beyond a reasonable doubt. # # #
