2011 Legislation (97th General Assembly)

interest to law enforcement from the 2011 Spring Session of the 97th Illinois
General Assembly.

Consular Identification Document Act (5 ILCS 230/) (Public Act 94-389), became effective
January 1, 2006. One of the requirements of this Act is that the issuing consulate
must file with the Department of State Police a copy of the issuing consulate’s
consular identification document and a certification of the procedures that are used
to satisfy the requirements of paragraphs (2) and (3) of the Act. The ISP Governmental
Affairs Office will serve as the contact for filing the above-mentioned documents.
