As a state agency under the jurisdiction of the Governor, the Illinois State
Police is required to comply with established hiring criteria when selecting
individuals for employment. To better guide you through the state employment process,
Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) provides a web-based
electronic hiring system, called Work.Illinois.Gov that significantly expands access to state employment while increasing
transparency, accessibility, accountability, and consistency in the state hiring
process.
